Vijay is known to be the mass hero in Kollywood parlance – as one who can fight, dance, cry and tickle a funny bone with elan. In his next flick Thuppakki, touted to be an action film with liberal commercial elements, the actor is said to have tried his hand in cinematography too, apart from singing and performing slick action. A source says that for one of the scenes in the film, the actor insisted that he crank the camera. This shot was canned in a busy, commercial street in Mumbai, and the actor wielded the camera as cinematographer Santosh Sivan was adjusting the lights.
