British novelist Sir Salman Rushdie brought a touch of Bollywood to the 56th BFI London Film Festival on Sunday night. The controversial writer won the Booker Prize in 1981 for his novel Midnight's Children, and he has finally seen his words brought to life on the big screen. Leading the way at the British premiere was the beautiful Shriya Saran who wowed the Odeon West End in her traditional style of dress.
